Traveling

Where is the road that everyone travels?
Is it hidden from me or does it not exist?
Why can't I feel their pavement beneath my feet?
Or are they floating on superficial airs?

Perhaps, perchance, per mile they go
with no direction

So while they travel--
though progressing they are not--
I shall persevere
step by step on the Rock
that may be invisible to them, even to me
but is eternally immovable.

Hey Friends...

Painfully precious are the times
I have to fight physically alone
because those are the times I realize that
it's just me and God.

Painfully hopeful are the days
there's no one else around to tell me I'll be okay
because those are the days
I must be reminded by my Creator.

Painfully needed are the hours I spend
waiting for someone to show me the Love I was created to share
because those are the hours
I wait for my God to be revealed.

Painfully purchased
was my soul.
Painfully, desperately, willingly.

Painfully this life endures,
desperately I seek Love's hope,
willingly He purchased my soul.

Painfully may be the way this road is traveled
but willingly I go.

Painfully Christ shed His blood
Willingly He purchased my soul
Painfully that road He walked
Willingly for me

Painfully I may walk this road
but willingly
I go.

"Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come;
but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.
"Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you."
--Jesus, John 16:21-22

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you,
leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
"He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth."
When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
  1 Peter 2:21-25

But it is still my consolation, and I rejoice in unsparing pain,
that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
Job 6:10

Painfully I may walk this road
but willingly I go.

Fellow Soldier, are you with me?
He's worth it.
Don't be afraid. He'll never leave us alone.

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.
"Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened."
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience,
so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ
may be ashamed of their slander.
It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
1 Peter 3:13-18

Pain will come.
Our choice is to suffer for doing good
rather than doing wrong.
Christ did.
He will provide sustaining joy
when we choose to praise Him even in pain.

But it is still my consolation, and I rejoice in unsparing pain,
that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
Job 6:10

Fellow Soldier, pick up your Sword.
It's rough out here,
but we know Who we're fighting for.
He's worth it.
Let's go.

Christmastime!

Merry Christmas, dear friends... may God bless you in ways you could never have imagined! He's so much bigger, stronger, more powerful and more gentle than any of us could ever be... yet He chooses to live inside our hearts if only we believe in Him!

The question is...
When will we believe?

I love to wait for Santa when that night arrives
I love to listen carefully for the sleigh that he rides
I wonder what he looks like-- they say he's full of joy
and he likes bringing presents
and I like getting toys

But there's another Person here at Christmas time
I've heard people talk about Him in stories and in rhyme
They say that He gives good gifts to all us girls and boys
and the presents that He gives
are even better than our toys

When will we believe
in the story of Christmas
in the One that we celebrate?
When will we believe
in the Love that makes our hearts real?
Will it ever be too late
When we believe?

I'm a little older now; I've learned a little more
about Christmastime and presents and what the season's for
But I still ask the question
 and wonder when we'll find
that gifts that last forever
are the Heavenly kind

When will we believe
in the story of Christmas
in the One that we celebrate?
When will we believe
in the Love that makes our hearts real?
Will it ever be too late
When we believe?

Believe that He will provide... Believe that He loves you...
Believe that He won't let you down no matter how difficult these circumstances seem... Look around for His little gifts... That's where you'll find the courage to carry on...

A warrior's courage and the faith of a child... I've found they are one in the same.
"If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
"'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes."

Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
                                                            Mark 9:22b-24

Do you believe?

"Though the mountains be shaken

and the hills be removed

yet my unfailing Love for you

will not be shaken

nor my covenant of peace

be removed,"

says the Lord

who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

PRAISE GOD!

Hey Friends!

"I love you" -- I really do

Don't forget "I love you"
it needs to be announced
Please don't forget "I love you"
let nothing drown it out

Remember to say "I love you"
whether or not you use words
let it be said sincerely
and peace will be undisturbed

Keep "I love you" near
say it often, make it clear
that when you say "I love you"
all doubt will disappear

Romans 13:10
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Psalm 103:11
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him

Psalm 118:4
Let those who fear the LORD say: "His love endures forever."

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart

Lamentations 3:22
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.

1 John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. GOD IS LOVE.
Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

1 Corinthians 13:8
Love never fails.

Love NEVER fails!!  GOD never fails!!
Say "I love you" and NEVER let fear stop you!!

I LOVE YOU!
